SHOWCASING THE PRODUCT
CHALLENGE: “Create a cool and casual celebrity driven book campaign to spark digital pre-orders that’s also solid enough to use if it hits the New York Times bestseller list.”
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED: Questlove is undoubtedly the star, but the book had to be the hero. The author photo had to be featured, but I wanted the book shot to be the most eye catching element, so I put the author photo on a brick wall (to harken back to his Philly roots) and converted that to greyscale with a purple gradient on top. This allowed the cover to naturally pop at any size.
